Terrierman Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 We split a prime ribeye and a large sweet potato. Avocado and fresh brandywine slices for a salad. And now we are working on killing a jar of the amish dills we put up a few days back.. They turned out! ness and BilletHead 2

I believe I've been there. If it's the same place I'm thinking of, it was very good. My baby girl went to K-State, and I still end up there every so often. John
BilletHead Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Presto! The BilletHead made Pesto 😁., You know I am bored when I look for something to do. Ran across an article where you can use garlic scapes for making a pesto. Got on the four wheeler and buzzed up the road checking the wild garlic crop. Scapes had got big, starting to bloom and woody. Crap back to the house and onto the laptop. Then thought I would use our garlic chives which there are many options on the web. Then I ran across one where basil is the main theme with some roasted garlic. Not having all of the exact stuff called for it would be a wing and a prayer job. So out to the garden to pick four packed cups of a mix of purple and green leaf basil. Then into the freezer to dip into my bag of roasted wild garlic. I did a bunch and mashed it into a zip loc to be dipped out as needed. No pine nuts in the house but I had just smoked a batch of almonds. Olive oil and S&P too. What No Parmesan cheese either? Well I will then use some asiago cheese. With everything prepped into the food processor it went. A spin up and a peek, Add more olive oil and spin again. When happy with the consistency I gave it the taste test. GOOOOD Stuff. Now if I had some good crusty bread. Oh well I will ask the Mrs. to pick that up on the way home. Bet I get a big old sloppy kiss for this. May even just have to make up some pasta and put a little in it. AND I even cleaned up my mess and done the dishes . Bonus points, BilletHead rps and Terrierman 2 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Just fried up my last one. Guess I will have to substitute a walleye or just go stab a big carp or three and use them, BilletHead rps 1 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!"
