MOPanfisher Posted January 1, 2019 Posted January 1, 2019 I should have taken a pic of the spread tonight. Garlic parmesan wings, gluten free terryaki wings, some smoked wings, a smoked hind quarter from a button buck (dang it was good), dips chips and all sorts of stuff there. Alas I had to leave about 9:30 ad take mom home, she wasn't about to stay up that late with that many people. But my wife will.be able to stay until the final wing is gone and drink some bubbly grape juice for me. We go through several bottles of the sparkling grape, white grape and raspberry (the best) and maybe a half bottle.of actual alcaholic bubbly. Good time, anyway talking hunting, cattle you name it and solving the world's problems in typical country folk style. Terrierman and Johnsfolly 1 1
ness Posted January 1, 2019 Author Posted January 1, 2019 We’ve been thinking about fondue for a while, and decided to do it for NYE dinner. Did a gruyere, emmenthaler and white wine cheese fondue with a variety of bread cubes and fruit for dipping. Then vegetable stock, red wine, garlic, onion and mushroom broth for beef tenderloin, pork loin and mushrooms. Had a variety of sauces for the meats. Pretty good but a lot of work and clean up. More about the fun of it all really. Cheese won hands down. We decided next time we’ll probably just do cheese as an appetizer. Lots of fun with good company. Happy New Years everybody. Did a fondue with friends many years ago. Was OK, but seemed like a complicated way to eat cheese to me.
