Looked it up and it is a pepper based condiment often used on melons and mangos. Don't let Ness see that a lime and pepper spice can be used on melons😉. Melons? Pass. John
MOPanfisher Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Went hunting for supper tonight. Wife gone to meeting so I stopped at one of my favorite supper hunting locations, Debs Market, a little store in my home town. Hunted through the freezers and found a big bag of cute little salmon steaks, each about the size of a deck of cards, then trapped a couple carrots and 3 Jonagold apples within seconds of one another. Apples sliced up and into a skillet with butter, cinnamon and brown sugar (can't go wrong there), carrots went for a ride acrossthe mandolin (aka finger slicer) before meeting some butter and S&P in another skillet, added coca cola to both skillets when liquid was needed and to add a little more sweet. Salmon got a quick sear in a skillet with butter, lemon, garlic, dill and a few capers, because they make me feel chef like when I use them. Had to cook moms till basically only a little pink left, I prefer mine more sushi like in the middle. Dessert, maybe Swiss Rolls (on sale) or a slice of cranberry orange loaf, not on sale but looked tasty. All in all a very successful hunting trip. All were satisfied. I suppose I should clean my weapon (credit card) later. ness, rps, tho1mas and 1 other 3 1

Different from any hash I ever had, seems like all mine were finely diced ingredients,  But I too love good hash, seems like hash is like grits not bad but good ones are very very good. And the egg just makes it better.Â

When I make hash for myself, I use the large holes on the box grater for the potatoes, I mince the meat and onions, and I fry the result. I still top with an egg. However, my beautiful wife prefers a baked hash and favors the larger pieces. You will note the picture shows who actually controls the house, even if it is my kitchen. I will say the halved Brussels sprouts were better than chopped would have been. MOPanfisher 1
