I was there in ‘87, for 9/11, and 2008. None of those were like this. Not to hijack, the food looks amazing by the way, but I hear hints of extremely low interest small business loans on the horizon. I'd like to buy a fresh truck and some overly expensive diagnostic equipment. Should I jump at this opportunity.....or just carry on as I've been doing? I hate owing anyone, and currently myself and my biz is debt free, but I could really REALLY use an update to stay on top of these new age engines soon to be out of warranty.

Mortgage rates were down but they bounced back up last week. No clue what tomorrow holds and I don’t know about other consumer rates. fishinwrench 1 John

I sometimes wonder if the smoke layer coats it and helps? Salting, smoking, sugar coating, and fermentation were all very early preservation methods. As was enzyme changes to make cheese. A food instructor once told me, "Real cheese never goes bad. It merely changes flavor." You combine cheese enzymes, and smoke, and sealed from air, you have a very long shelf life. I would store in a cave or root cellar. If you don't have one, use the refrigerator. 😀 Mitch f and BilletHead 1 1
rps Posted March 16, 2020 Posted March 16, 2020 As for the market and mortgage rates, I have an opinion and it is free. So it is worth about as much as you paid for it. Now is not the time to incur debt. Hunker down and watch while this firestorm sorts itself out. If it becomes a temporary blip, you will have plenty of time to borrow before rates become ugly. If it is truly ugly, the currency value needs to adjust before you borrow. If it is a 2008 repeat, you will have time in the next 2 years to do what you wish. Meanwhile, those of us who have retired and have our retirement in the market will sit here and chew our nails. At 70, truly do not want to go back to work. I just didn't know if the short window of the government being all gung-ho to help small businesses, was something I should be taking advantage of.

We are refinancing our rental house and luckily locked in 2 days before this craziness. My mortgage broker told me this when I asked him. Here is his exact response. fishinwrench and snagged in outlet 3 1 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
