It was the freezer isle.  I opened the door for the grip and grin photo.  Except I won't touch peas!  Vile...

I hate peas too!!!!

Dad use to make me stay at the table till I finished my peas... He'd have his smoke (King Kool's) and then go to the living room... I'd wait for him to leave the table and then volunteer to clean the table ... Mom would tell me "sure!!!! but you are still eating those peas!". SO...... When she wasn't looking I'd drop the peas into my Milk cup......Tupperware (Tall and opaque) ....She never knew...... And that's why; on Pea's night I would only drink my milk 2" from the bottom of the glass.. I loved my milk..... but not as much as I hated my peas.

Must be genetic.  My whole family hated them.  Never had to worry about them until @ness and these other guys put them in recipes.  No quicker way to ruin a pot pie is to put peas in them.  I mean what's the point?   There's like 3 peas in them anyway so why not just leave them in the trash can where they belong.

Good thing you do not live in the UK. They serve a thing called mushy peas there.

Willing to bet you are talking about canned peas from your childhood? Or maybe frozen, but cooked until they were gray green? If so, I agree. Fresh flash frozen and briefly warmed taste nothing like those.

BTW, how do you feel about snow peas in stir fry? If you don't mind those, I can fix peas so that even you will eat them.

BTW, roasting a chicken half tonight and serving with dressing and a cauliflower/broccoli side.

 

P.S.

Cooks Illustrated did a taste testing of dry stuffing. Surprisingly, Stovetop Stuffing won. I tried it for the first time after that. Really good and way less time than the real homemade stuff. I use it often, except for T-Day.
