Terrierman Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Thanks for the replies guys, I ended up at Mexican Villa on south cambell- it's kind of like white castles to me. I wouldn't call it "good" or even "Mexican" but sometimes it hits the spot... Fwiw, they have done a remodel since I has here last, place looked relatively nice and clean Sometimes there's just no substitute for a Sancho Enchilada Style..... Next time you are in town and want a really quality burger, try Grad School downtown. Not boat friendly parking though so be warned. grizwilson and bs1827 2
OldMillRoad Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Cashew Chicken, hillbilly style. About every fifty yards in places. I should have pressed the sarcasm button.
Bill Babler Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Dang, i almost forgot the NEW, BEST place in town. Its in the same parking lot as Texas Roadhouse. Its FD's and the food is the best. if not i will buy your dinner. We saw that deal last night when we rolled into TR. Is that a Steak Joint or what? There were some folks in there, but nothing like the Road House. If it is Steaks I would like to try it. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
dtrs5kprs Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 I should have pressed the sarcasm button. No, I got it. Sometimes you simply must state the obvious. OldMillRoad 1
Ketchup Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Bill, they do have wonderful steaks, but unlike TR, they have some of the best fish ive tasted. The chicken alfredo is top notch. Kids usually have a burger, and say their great. The service, food, building, all make it one of my top places when asked by friends and family where to go. We have not had one of them say it wasnt great. They only thing they dont have, is the rolls. If you need company, the Mrs. and I could join ya one Sat. evening. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
huntest Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Wife and I ate at FD about 2 months ago. She had a fried chicken salad and I had the seafood gumbo with a side salad. Food, service, and atmosphere were remarkable. The prices were very fair. Definately a "go to" place! Ketchup 1

mixermarkb Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 Hey Phil- how about pinning a food joint thread to the top, or maybe another forum- would be handy to have somewhere to look up places to eat and know info about them like boat parking ease, etc... Not all of us who fish the ozarks live local enough to hear about the good places...
