ness Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 We can only guess how much better those would look with two thin coats I like the barring effect -- need to add that to my repertoire. John
Kee sims Posted March 19, 2015 Author Posted March 19, 2015 Great looking baits billethead! I would love to be able do that.
BilletHead Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 You can do it. If I can anyone can. BilletHead "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" BilletHead " One thing in life is for sure. If you are careful you can straddle the barbed wire fence but make one mistake and you will be hurting" BilletHead P.S. "May your fences be short or hope you have long legs" BilletHead

Guest Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I bought those vacuum type stencils off eBay. Sure wish I had seen them when I first started. It makes stencil making easier, plus some come pre made
5bites Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Trophy you need to get into making your own. It's pretty simple and handy to have when you have a lure that they don't make stencils for.
5bites Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Yea then pre mades are probably more cost effective. It's still fun though. Frustrating too at times like anything else.
Kee sims Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 I got some createx paints I picked up a pack of opaque and a pack of wicked and then a few pearl greens and yellows and oranges. How much do you guys tend to start out with in your cups? I'd hate to fill it up and then waste a lot on color change and stuff. And also how much reducer should I typically add a drop or two? Sorry if it's silly questions. Just trying avoid any mishaps
