mojorig Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 While sampling walleye at the Bull Shoals Lake dam on Monday Night (3/23), we collected and released a paddlefish. This is a rare sight on Bull Shoals Lake. Is it earth shattering... no but it was unexpected and cool to collect one on Bull Shoals Lake. The AGFC has only saw a couple of them while sampling over the years. It likely came from Table Rock so it had to swim 75 plus miles and go over two dams. Again, it was something I thought was neat and wanted to share with you all. Feathers and Fins Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 That is such a great looking fish and story. I really admire them a throwback to the dinosaurs imo. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

Members ericangler Posted March 26, 2015 Members Posted March 26, 2015 just reread it and saw by the dam sorry
rainbow Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Couple years ago we were white bass fishing at the dam with stick baits and accidentally snagged about a 60 lb spoonie. Nice fight on 4 lb test and after about ten minutes it decided the game was over and it made a big dive and broke off. Fun while it lasted.
Ron Burgundy Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 Mojo how did the walleye collecting go? Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
vonreed Posted March 26, 2015 Posted March 26, 2015 I was with a friend about 5 years ago fishing by the Forsyth Park and we snagged a big spoonbill while trolling. We looked into it and you are not allowed to keep them from what info we could find. Neat to see there is more in there.
