While sampling walleye at the Bull Shoals Lake dam on Monday Night (3/23), we collected and released a paddlefish. This is a rare sight on Bull Shoals Lake. Is it earth shattering... no but it was unexpected and cool to collect one on Bull Shoals Lake. The AGFC has only saw a couple of them while sampling over the years. It likely came from Table Rock so it had to swim 75 plus miles and go over two dams.

Again, it was something I thought was neat and wanted to share with you all.

Couple years ago we were white bass fishing at the dam with stick baits and accidentally snagged about a 60 lb spoonie. Nice fight on 4 lb test and after about ten minutes it decided the game was over and it made a big dive and broke off. Fun while it lasted.

I was with a friend about 5 years ago fishing by the Forsyth Park and we snagged a big spoonbill while trolling. We looked into it and you are not allowed to keep them from what info we could find. Neat to see there is more in there.
