Hunter53 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I never said that nobody should use a buff, or that nobody should shield themselves from everything outdoors.... I just said they look stupid. The same guys (and I mean GUYS, cuz you never see girls wearing them) that wear buffs when fishing don't wear them when out driving around, or when mowing the yard, or any other time.....So that's what I don't understand. If you're truly wearing it to protect your delicate skin from whatever it is you're afraid of then why do we EVER have to see your face? Kids today! They walk around with their butt showing, yet hide their face, but only when they are FISHING. Whatever. My wife wears a buff, sun gloves, long pants and sun block long sleeve shirt while fishing so she doesn't get burned. I wear the same stuff for the same reasons not only while fishing but also while mowing. I hate sunscreen so this is my way around having to put the crap on. I would bet 99.9% of people wearing the sunblock clothing are wearing it for that reason and not because they want to look like a pro. If we look stupid so be it; We don't give a rats behind what anyone else thinks.

fishinwrench Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 If ya wear it all the time then ok, fine, cool, and good deal. But the only time I ever see anyone wearing that crap is when they are fishing. Is going fishing the only time y'all venture out of the house? And yeah those new Evinrudes are gay looking. Almost as bad as the Verado's, but boy are they gonna be a breeze to work on !
dtrs5kprs Posted April 8, 2015 Author Posted April 8, 2015 You guessed right. How about Surfers, do they wear them ? Chicks in thongs....and a buff. Wow! Not even at LO is that a possibility. I don't know...I saw people jet skiing there during a March sleeting rain one year. Wouldn't rule it out. Don't forget, this all drifted away from an attempt to characterize Bass Blaster. Anyone who subscribes, or has read it, knows what, and who we are "talkin' 'bout Mang".

Why you only see people wearing it while fishing is because most of the time that is the only time they are outside for extended periods of time where they will get burned to a crisp. Why are you so concerned about what other people wear? Seriously; I just don't understand paying any attention to what someone is wearing EXCEPT for noticing a good looking woman in a bikini.
Guest Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 this would be a good word mash. key words: Ned, buff, panda, dinks & Kumar

fishinwrench Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Hunter, I'm not "so concerned" about it. I'm just having fun here. I'm outside all the time, so if I was a Buffster I'd have to own about 60 of them, and yes everyone that came to my shop would either tease me about it or talk about it behind my back. Would I care? Yeah. Obviously so do you.
