I'd like to think I did my best to get my kids interested in the outdoors. That's about all I feel like I'm responsible for, although I have helped a lot of other kids -- nieces, nephews, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts over the years. I just look at it as planting a seed. They don't all sprout, and some sprout late. The only sure thing is what you'll get if you don't plant -- nada, zilch. Except weeds. And, the analogy gets jacked up at that point. Good night.

I have a 20 y/o daughter that can outfish most guys, but those skills have taken a back seat for now as she has "more important" things going on. I hope it is temporary.

Mentioning a 20-year-old daughter in a thread about younger fishermen. Risky move.

WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk.

Time spent fishing is never wasted.

26 and die hard outdoorsman. Been that way my whole life though. I do have a widows peak of a 35 year old though if that counts.

I'm 27 and absolute love the time i get to spend out on the water. I only wish i could spend more. I also love to play pc and console games but tend to do that rarely in the spring and summer. Once the colder parts of fall come in is when i tend to do most of my electronic entertainment. I also do bare bones PC builds during that time as i find it a mostly enjoyable hobby when i cant fish. Me and the wife just had our first child 6 months ago and i hope to get him out on the water with rod and reel in hand as soon as he can handle it! That isn't to say that we wont also enjoy playing some games time to time. I guess its all about moderation when it comes to games as a hobby...the funny thing is i don't feel that way about fishing at all. I find a man or women who squeezes out some fishing time as often as they possibly can to be resourceful!
