Hummus is refried beans from a culture that hates women. It is tasteless slop that Americans are guilted into liking because it is from a foreign society. So much good food in the world and we have to endure this pureed bullsh** that earnest foodies inflict on a polite public. Hummus sucks and everyone knows it. That's why misguided "gourmet" cook's always take home uneaten bowls of their bean dip from every party they attend.

I know, we don't get it. Your hummus is different and it's our loss we don't like lemon flavored cardboard.

Joe this made me do a spit take at my office desk.....thank you......we need to go drink or fish soon :)

Trolling. Hmm. Seems to fit me. But...

Oh. I get it. Negativity not wanted. Opposing opinion not presented in a "palatable" way is discouraged. "If you don't have anything nice to say.." "Mean people suck." Take your sarcasm elsewhere.

Hmm. Points taken. Probably will be ignored. Will stop typing now as mushrooms are taking effect.

PS: I was under the impression rps had me blocked. Hmm.

PSS: Mind wandering, vision too. Bye.

We made the Tahini hummus tonight. Now I freely admit that I am not a big hummus fan, usually finding it tastes like nothing. As with all recipies I consider it just a guideline as we added some south African smoke (from trader joes, and one of my favorite spices), and a few other things. The finished hummus actually has flavor, almost a presence. Very garlic up front, delayed hit of cumin, with a slight bite and citrus hint. Using a nice yellow bell pepper and pieces of pita bread to dip with. I actually almost like it, everyone else is loving it.

I am very pleased to have a hummus "indifferent" person say such kind things. Your description of what it tastes like is dead on accurate. I am also pleased the others love it.

I keep finding myself going back for more, gotta be the garlic. The recipie is already printed out and saved in the special pile that get used often.

I'm like hummus.

But all I have had is Sabra.

I can't hardly not eat it all in one sitting.

Just not a fan of chick peas, so hummus is a stretch for me. I have had the Sabra stuff Chief mentioned, and it is pretty good though.

I was missing posting about food. Fixed for myself only tonight as the wife will not return until tomorrow. Kept it simple. Baked a potato and mixed the insides with sauted broccoli and leeks, butter, and spices. Seared a rubbed steak.
