Ham Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Lol, I was told I HAD to use 4 lb line to get very many bites on the Zig Jig. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
gitnby Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 #6 Maxima Green, spray with reel magic while filling, at 1/2 spool and again at full. Strip off last 3' and retie 3-4 times a day. Easy to work with and tie even with my old eyes and numb fingers. Have tried almost everything else, and I keep coming back to it!
Quillback Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I'm on the 6# Invisx train. As long as I remember to close the bail with my hand, it works great. Have to monitor for abrasion, and retie if necessary, but other than that it works great for me Ned fishing. Maxima is great stuff, I used 6 and 8# for summer run steelhead when I lived out west.
Ham Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 Invis X has the abrashion resistance of wet toilet paper. I can not imagine how you guys are getting away with dragging the Ned thru the battlefield and not breaking off on every hookset. Sac River Jim 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Ham Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 I loved the way it cast and went on the reel, but I couldn't go near a rock without it being all shredded from the bait up about 6 inches. I drag my Ned thru the jungle and Red Label and P Line CX Premium do pretty well. I check it from time to time. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
Smalls21 Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 i didn't care for the RED Label seaguar castability. I like GAMMA if i can find it. Ham 1
mixermarkb Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 If you guys ever tried Sunline Shooter, green tint, 7 pound test, you would never debate line again. Hands down best line I've tried
Ham Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 i didn't care for the RED Label seaguar castability. No doubt, but as a leader in 6, 8, and 10 lb. its ok. You have to be careful with your knots though. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
