Oh sorry, didn't mean to shed some light to all the new members with something so simple to keep fish healthy. I must have missed that thread- funny because i don't miss many Chief gets beat up on, lol.

Nah, this is a good topic.

I'm considering just going back to reports filled with stream/landscape pics. Those are so much more interesting than most fish pictures, anyway, aren't they?

I think so. Especially with most of the fish pictures that we do see. I've seen plenty of pictures of fish laying by themselves on the gravel, or on a measuring board, or next to a fly rod. (Why is it that when you catch a fish on a flyrod a picture of the flyrod HAS to be in the picture? And keep that nasty thing out of your mouth) If the picture doesn't tell a story it was a waste of time anyway.

As far as how to handle a fish I suppose it depends on the kind of fish it is. You can injure any of them with a lot more than the way grab grab them by the lip. There is a lot of damage done in the landing and tranporting as well.

Chief you were mostly right about the pic stuff last year. I only share catch information with one or two people. I have no douvt about their word. though I do take a occasional picture by putting the fish on a 48 in metal rule I carry in my boat.

Andy: I don't have my protractor handy -- is the fish in your avatar being held properly? :D

Well, yutz, putz, whatever -- good to have this discussion. As to which side of the state line is 'wrong', well that's for another day! :D
