fishinwrench Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Had a front wheel fall off my truck while going over a railroad crossing once. Only one stud was busted. It can happen without anyone removing or loosening anything. This is why we BALANCE WHEELS when we change tires. I'd be really REALLY surprised if anyone shows up to fingerprint anything. A set of prints on a trailer fender isn't gonna result in any charges I don't think.
Ketchup Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Fish, you are correct. No prints will be taken, unless a serious crime has been commited. Its really hard for me to believe that someone removed the lugs at a ramp. Im curious if there were any lugs at the ramp where the trailer was parked. Chances that someone loosened all of them, without actually removing atleast 1 and leaving it on the ground would be slim to nil. Guess all of my years in law enforcement makes me think this way. Sac River Jim Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 what county is highpoint in. we've had alot of trouble with ramp thieves over in dade county the two worst places being Greenfield landing and Mutton Creek North. Never heard of wheels being stole but wouldn't surprise me the meth heads up here will steal anything they can get their hands on. They usually smash and grab whatever you have locked up in your truck. Dill got his window smashed at mutton north and they stole a gps and a good pair of binoculas last summer. sorry that happened but atleast you wasn't hurt and have insurance.
5bites Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I know a guy that had his catalytic converter sawed out from under his truck at ruark one evening while people were camping across the cove. Pretty desperate thrives around.

Pretty desperate thrives around. Hell my best friends wife comes out of Walmart in the middle of the afternoon one day and finds a guy under her car. He claimed he must of just had the wrong car. But that's what he was doing, he stole her converter. It can happen anywhere. Â Â
5bites Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Lol wow! I guess if they're dumb enough to do it it shouldn't be a surprise where and when they choose to do it.
fishinwrench Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 If someone can saw off the CC of my truck with a hack saw then they deserve to have it. There's room for maybe a 2" stroke IF you cut at an extreme angle.

And get me a can of skoal while you are in there. Sac River Jim and Lifes2Short 2 Â Â
