Mitch f Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 People hate winners, St.Louis is a great baseball town. KC has a great team, but when I see the cockiness by the way they stroll out onto the baseball field after having 1.5 good seasons, it reminds me of a teenager who just got his first Camaro. When you get a history of excellence on the field, come see me. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
ness Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 I don't hate winners, I hate St. Louis fans. Cocky is confidence viewed through the eyes of a loser. Quillback and Smalls21 2 John
Quillback Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 Cards fans are all falling back on 'History', tells me they have lost confidence in the current team. One loss to KC and out come the history lessons. ness and Smalls21 2
Mitch f Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Since we're talking about history lessons, how many World Series have you won? (No smiley face inserted) "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Quillback Posted May 23, 2015 Author Posted May 23, 2015 Again, history, what happens this year is what matters.
Chief Grey Bear Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Again, history, what happens this year is what matters. Except when you want to remind a Cards fan who leads the WS meets 1-0. The only reason Royals fans don't like history is because of all the loosing seasons. If you had a record like the Cards, of even a 1/4 of their record, your view on history would be vastly different. Terrierman Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Best red t-shirt with the birds on the bat seen lately: "They hate us 'cause they ain't us" Says a lot really about both sides of this little discussion. Two dang good teams and honestly I love to watch them both. Hard to pick who to root for when they play each other.
Jerry Rapp Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 at least the Royal fans are better than Cubs fans! The first "checkpoint" of the baseball season is upon us. Memorial Day. Both teams are within 5 games of a playoff spot(LOL!), but that is what really matters at the 3 check points, Memorial Day July 4th and Labor Day. Baseball season is a marathon. Enjoy it, but don't get bent out of shape until your team is actually in a playoff race in September.
moguy1973 Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Royals are going to pick up a junk win against the Cards tonight since that rain isn't letting up anytime tonight. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
