Quillback Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 also why didnt you yell buster for knifing a trophy walleye? He just got high fives for a great catch. Dude, guys gave me a hard time for posting pictures of keeper walleye that I released. You can't win around here. Muddy Water 1
vonreed Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I was just telling someone the other day that some people seem to want to keep bass out of spite. Sadly, that has just been confirmed. Add me to the list. It's gotten really annoying that people think bass are the best fish and the most important in the lake. It's an ecosystem in which ALL the fish are important. J-Doc 1

Walleye are put and take, just like the slick fish below the dams. Militant meat fishermen? Has this always been around, or have we just turned back the clock on selective harvest by about 25 years? dtrs5kprs Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 From an economic stand point they are the most important fish. Absolutely. Bass pay the bills, and the taxes. If it was otherwise lakes like Greer's Ferry would just be packed out like TR and LOZ. abkeenan 1

Always been around, if everyone practiced catch and release only there would be problems just as if every one practiced catch and grease.

Quillback Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Unbelievable hypocrisy. Not really - almost every walleye fisherman I know on TR keeps the legal walleye they catch. And AGFC stocks walleye fingerlings into the lake.
