Old plug Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 It was higher last night a1:30 in the morning. i well bet it was 663.I had to go down and secure a broke away walk wat forvthe second time. Some expert that made the walkwat to the ramp attached it wrong. I told her I would bolt it down with a 6 " stove bolts when the water gets down. The expert ised deck screws and nothing in the frame. I a, sure there will be plenty of leaking docks put there this weekend. People justvdo bot seem to take it serious. I rewired mine totally up to specifications. st watched a expert wore a dock for someone and it cost her some money. Just riding by in the boat I seen 3-4 violation.
MOPanfisher Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Already been one eloctrocution just a few days ago wasn't there? Y'all be careful up there.
nomolites Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 I don't have the big picture but I do believe us LOZ folks are spoiled rotten with regard to water levels. There are no other lakes in these parts managed like this one that I can think of. Money talks and all else gets to walk-from what I see that is all that separates the property and people here from those in the Osage River valley. I see essentially the same phenomenon every high water year when they hold water above St. Louis on the Mississippi. I am a very small fish and my struggles don't mean squat to the playas in Jeff City or Washington. I will personally enjoy the reduced traffic for a day or so until they pull it down. At this rate that will be tomorrow afternoon; others have had the right of it in suggesting it is cold beverage time. Hope you all have a safe and happy holiday. Cheers! Mike BilletHead 1
fishinwrench Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 She's falling out fast now, and it sure was pleasant out there today. Kinda reminded me of the old days on LO when it wasn't so crowded. My partner and I expected some fish to be up in the bushes but due to the falling water they were holding 3-4' along the original shoreline. Just going down the bank throwing a square bill caught a good number of short fish. Buzzbaits and worms/jigs produced the better bites. Seth, MOsmallies and BilletHead 3
WeekendWarrior Posted July 4, 2015 Author Posted July 4, 2015 Sure was nice being able to fish some main lake points in the middle of the day without getting beat up. Kind of liking this no wake policy, should do it on this lake one weekend a month! Haha, like that would ever happen. Seth and BilletHead 2
nomolites Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Speaking of main lake points... Only got out for a couple of hours but it was NICE not getting tossed about. 5-O was on anybody above idle in my neck of the woods. Mike BilletHead and rangerman 2
MOPanfisher Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 How did the troopers catch the violators, news said that they had to follow the idle speed restriction as well. In my mind I am picturing a low speed chase similar to OJ but with boats. I was impressed that during the news cast with the lake in the background I only was one boat obviously breaking the idle speed restrictions. I hope its back down quickly and all is good. But there is sure to be some damage whether to docks, sea walls or even homes. BilletHead 1
