jdmidwest Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 BTW, I have a new worst spot. Standing in the pavillion of a nice little lake after getting poured on, bilge pump running poured on, just as the fish turned on watching the boat from afar. Pepe Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Falcon Lake in South Texas, for us at least, is hugely over-rated. We tried 3 times, different times of the year. It is full of Gar,
ness Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Can't say I've got a worst spot. I've got places I don't go to anymore, but those aren't spots. I hit a local park lake a lot, but I don't really expect much. I go there because it's convenient and it's a pretty lake. John
fishinwrench Posted July 4, 2015 Posted July 4, 2015 Had to think about it awhile, but I guess my least favorite fishing area that I still consider fishing occasionally is Bennett Spring. I used to love it but they ruined it for me with all their upgrades.
Kayser Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Meramec Springs open season is bad. Little Prairie lake near Rolla is bad, at least from the shore. I have a place on the Bourbeuse, and haven't even fished it this year. Looking for more places to fish. WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.

Bushbeater Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 I'll agree with Greasy B on Brickhouse Slew and Haris about Unger Park. My nightmare is the Meramac downstream of Palisades.
Seth Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 People must have read how bad people hate Maramec Springs on here because it was dead yesterday. Forum member shawncat and I had a terrible time catching 50+ trout up up to 17" on our fly tackle. Here is a pic of a high water escapee that I caught in one of the busiest holes in the park not long after the buzzer. Please add Maramec Springs to my list of least favorite places to fish as well. Please avoid at all costs.
ozark trout fisher Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Thats the great thing, though. We all like different streams, and all, alternately, hate different streams. I don't like Maramec, you may not like the Bourb. It means we'll argue, but at least we're not in each other's way. Heck, I've got no problem with Maramec Spring. It's beautiful and full of trout. Its more some of the fishermen that use it Seth 1
Seth Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 Oh I'm just throwing in a few jabs for good times. I know we all have different tastes otherwise, we would all be fishing for smallmouth bass with NED rigs!
