Jerry Rapp Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 please post photos and video's of the few thousands of violator's! This should be great!
moguy1973 Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Yeah, that's going to screw up a lot people's fun this weekend. lol Should make the fishermen happy It'll just take them a while to get to their spots... -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
MOPanfisher Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 So either there will not be nearly enough troopers to enforce it or they will pull every badge they can and put them on LOZ, rest of the waters, on your own. There now that I got my pessimistic comment out of the way, time for a little optimism. Maybe the declaration will ring as wise advice to the ears of boaters and they will take heed.
fishinwrench Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Just crossed 3 bridges and I can assure you that nobody is giving two hoots about the No-Wake request.
Members Jess Miller Posted July 3, 2015 Members Posted July 3, 2015 Just crossed 3 bridges and I can assure you that nobody is giving two hoots about the No-Wake request. I noticed that...Not sure how they thought that would be enforceable on the July 4th weekend.
5bites Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Why does it have to apply to all boats? Not that I expect any common sense from the government.
fishinwrench Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Why does it have to apply to all boats? Not that I expect any common sense from the government. It doesn't apply to ANY boats. I'm not too sure that "No-Wake" is a law. I've seen guys get yelled at, and even pulled over, lectured, and "inspected" because of No-Wake violations but I am not aware of anyone ever getting fined or punished in any real way because of blowing through a No Wake zone. Does anyone here know of anyone FOR SURE that has been summoned specifically for ignoring a NW area? Babler? What's the scoop?.....or would you rather not say. (Understood if so).
DADAKOTA Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 One would think that people would use common sense and have some respect for folks whose property they could damage.
Alex Heitman Posted July 3, 2015 Posted July 3, 2015 Sounds like it's time to get the bass boat out and do some fishing!

Don't know about Missouri, but had a buddy pulled over for no wake violation on Beaver. He got a ticket, but went to court and beat it. No Wake in Arkansas means speed less than 5 MPH (and my buddy was going slow). The officer that issued the ticket did not have a radar gun, so my buddy argued that because of that the officer couldn't have known how fast he was going. The judge agreed with him. A second factor was that the officer did not show in court.
