Rodmaker Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Berkley makes the flicker shad and those things work for me and they're only about 4 bucks. I know it's not a wart knockoff but it's a good bait.

fozzype Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 I fished these some this fall...very eratic wobble that is much wider than a wart. Sometimes this is good but not for me in colder water.. They do deflect very well off of objects, just like a square bill...they got some great reaction bites on lake o.... This is a quality product in great colors with fairly good hooks...I personally think they will be great on post spawn fish with the bluegill color.... Overall I was impressed B. Foz

Unfortunate color selection, dicey availability, and a company with a rep for gimmicky baits have not helped it. The back pressure you get from reeling that thing in is pretty substantial. I think it displaces a ton of water for a bait that size. On a different note, I saw a post on FB the other day about a guy storing his crank baits in a peanut butter jar. He takes a small rubber band and binds the front hook to the back hook then throws them in the jar. Even with all of the cranks in the jar, they don't seem to get hung up. Nothing worse than when you're trying to switch baits and you pull up a stuck together ball of baits. Or by separating them individually, you end up carrying too big of a tackle box. Gotta try this. Saw that too, from Wired2Fish. Odd thing was that he was ice fishing with a jar of crankbaits. My only negative thought was how much the rubber bands would bite if it was wet/cold/windy/etc., out in the boat.
fishinwrench Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 It would take me longer to undo the rubber band than it would to shake a ball of crankbaits free. Champ188 and dtrs5kprs 2
