Members lewis.stull Posted July 21, 2015 Author Members Posted July 21, 2015 I've heard there is a good crankbite and jig bite going on around there in around 15-20 ft deep. It may not be setting up good for a drop shot bite right now with the high water. If I was going I would go up the James or long creek and throw a big crank.
Members lewis.stull Posted July 21, 2015 Author Members Posted July 21, 2015 But where do you throw those cranks at? What kind of bank or deep on points?
Members lewis.stull Posted July 21, 2015 Author Members Posted July 21, 2015 What's it cost to hire him for half a day?
balsabee Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 The power generation and current is making the drop shot bite absolutely tremendous regardless of the high water. Champ188 1
Members D Mann Posted July 22, 2015 Members Posted July 22, 2015 Your right about the generation I couldn't really get them to bite today until around 9am then they set up and started eating
Champ188 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 There isn't a bad piece of info on this thread but the best may be to reserve a seat in Babler's boat. His 6-hour rate is $375 and in that amount of time he can have you catching drop-shot fish from now until your fishing days are done. whiteriveroutfitters.com johnm, Codywskeeter1521 and magicwormman 3
5bites Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 And if you teach him some stuff while he guides you his rate gets cheaper. So when you jump in the boat with him immediately start in on what you would do differently and show him how you do stuff. He will appreciate this greatly. dtrs5kprs, magicwormman, Daryk Campbell Sr and 2 others 5

Had a co-angler like that once in a Central Pro-Am derby. I was ready to put him on the bank by 8 a.m. huntest and Codywskeeter1521 2
Sore Thumbs Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 I quit Co-angling because in my mind I would second guess Anglers decisions. Always kept my mouth shut but I was always told when you start second guessing the boaters decisions it's time to get in the front. So far I have had more success as a Co-angler. Ha. It's tougher being a boater for sure. Champ188, magicwormman and dtrs5kprs 3
