Wow! A clipboard, a piece of paper, and a pen = $2.50

I'm not taking the time while on the water w/ clients for all that. The pen and paper come out at the end to record results. Lot's of time we're doubled up when they're really going. That alone can be a lot to deal with especially in heavy current with a couple handfuls of oars.

Boy that's a good point!

If I had hired you and you failed to produce accurate numbers at the end of the day because you were too busy rowing the boat..... you could just forget about getting a tip !

Those northern smallies sure are dark in color. Some nice looking fish there...

You can do that on a fly rod up there!

I don't know about that river but I have seen plenty of northern river smallies sipping insects off the surface like trout. The similarities with trout end as soon as you cast a popper that looks nothing like an insect and it disappear in a toilet flush rise.

Absolutely you can. It's a shame they did not.

I wouldn't go that far, looks like they had a good time. You can catch a lot more with conventional equipment .
