Old plug Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 i think Mitch the greatest thing you could do with those things is pour the middle harder than both ends. the other day I went thru2 bags of them in about 3 hours.

You're the second person today to suggest this. This is impossible with my current injector. The only way to accomplish that is to re-dip the middle with harder material, or put a clear sleeve around the bait. I know they also make rubber band gadgetry to wacky rig them. Old plug Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 . Those rubber bands can cause you more trouble than they are worth. Main problem I have with them is the hook will swivel around and the worm embeds itself in the worm. Especially if I am useing a smaller hook like most do. Mostly though I use a 0/3 that is not as susceptible to that. I just do not like the worm to slid and turn all over the place on the hook. You could maybe put some small round thing about the size of a soda straw and about 1/2 inch long into the center of the mold and mold over it. As long as it can be penetrated by the hook. It would be fine. Small piece of soft rubber might work. Mitch f 1
Gavin Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Looks good and like the color. Already covered up the pool for winter so no underwater look see until we open back up..

Old plug Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 mItch I have one really other then use about anything I have one color that sometimes will work when nothing else will it is PINK Mitch f 1
fishinwrench Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 You could pour all kinds of color combos to amuse yourself, but the aces color has gotta be a brownish olive (green punkin) with black flake. I would experiment more with the consistency of the finished product moreso than a plethora of blended colors. I've fished them a bunch here lately and I really like the density of the Strike King shim-e-stick, it is perfect IMO. Mitch f 1
Members bagofdonuts Posted October 29, 2015 Members Posted October 29, 2015 Chart. / Black back for stained water would be nice. Blue glimmer is a hot color right now in the custom painted lures. Mitch f 1
