ness Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Welcome back, JD. Glad to know it went well and the healing is going good. John
Gavin Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Glad your boots are still above ground! Wish you a speedy recovery!
jdmidwest Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 None of the Docs pointed any fingers at what caused it. First question was "do you smoke" followed by dip tobacco next. Of course alcohol use promotes oral cancer too. My only message would be to watch for changes in your body and keep on top of it. ness 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. jdmidwest Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 1 year, 2 months, 3 weeks after surgery and day one of cancer free. Went in for a checkup today, Doc stuck a finger in my mouth and felt around for lumps and said everything is still good. Still cancer free and recovered. As usual, he pulled over an intern and showed them what a good job he did. Visits from now on will just be like today unless a lump or bump shows up somewhere. Life is so very good.
