I have been known to tie it for the people I'm fishing with. It's just less frustrating for everyone involved. grizwilson 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Guest Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Braid eventually caused me elbow problems. I switched back to yozuri hybrid & have zero problems.

If you can get that knot down pat I love nano. Pete I'm using a 7 ft st croix rage med. with nano. You can feel um breath on it. You did good going mL I think. I bought mine at bass pro and had 4 rods out looking at um. Didn't realize I had the med weight until got home. Lol. It works just fine tho. I need to check out this eye con series, haven't seen those yet. There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!

The 6'6" ml was my first Ned rod, actually bought it for little grubs and hair jigs, then met Ned. It is as close to perfect as you will find. The 7' ml in the same series keeps calling my name, but it balances just a touch differently. Blanks are SCII (premier series blanks), nice fuji grips and seats. They are not crisp sticks. The higher modulus rods have that quick, crisp feel that is great for jigs and worms, but not so much for the little stuff.

I nearly broke a finger setting on a fish the first time I used braid on a spinning reel back in 1995. Still very much remember it. With no stretch in the line something has to stretch, and that can be your arm/wrist.

Ham Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I'm old enough to have fished the first generation graphite rods. Graphite continued to be " improved" and refined, but I'm not sure I need more than a quality IM6 blank. Im probably more interested in the 7' "L" eyecon rod.
