Not me, I only get out there once in awhile. I usually fish the river in De Soto instead. I did paddle the yak to 435 this fall, carried it down below and caught wipers from the rapids. It's took far and too much work now that you can't park by Peterbilt anymore.
Seth Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Paddlefish are notorious for coming to the surface to roll and getting hit by props. It's not terribly uncommon to catch them without a rostrum during the spring snagging season.
Seth Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Wasn't there a also picture of a paddlefish caught in a tree during the last big high water event on Taneycomo a few years ago?

Reminds me of an old joke: I was sitting down along the lake enjoying the cool breeze off the water, and admiring the view, when I noticed down the bank about 30 yards there was a squirrel sitting on a limb, overhanging the water about two feet, eating a hickory nut. I sat there for a couple minutes watching him and about that time the biggest large mouth bass I ever seen jumped out of the water and ate that squirrel. And do you know what? About a minute later that bass jumped out of the water and set another hickory nut back up on that limb. big c 1

The one I am asking about was from several years ago. The Bagnell Dam pic on page 2 is from this recent high water event. I went back through the history of the Upper Taneycomo section and found it. They said this was across from KOA.
