abkeenan Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Just saw this on Facebook via Tacklewarehouse. Strange story, because if you remember a few months ago it was posted here of the guy who couldn't get his whopper Spot certified and because he was concerned for the fish he released it to ensure it's survival. Fast forward to this story a couple of months later and the guy who couldn't get certified, his buddy, in the back of his boat catches one even BIGGER. Then the current record holder for spotted bass drives 4 hours at moments notice with certified scales to help this guy out and claim the record only to have his own record go down. Cool story. http://www.bassquestmagazine.com/?p=3832 marcus and Fish24/7 2
dtrs5kprs Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 We need to start dumping truckloads of salmon and trout into TR. I know, different strain of spots, but still... We could dump them in with after dinner mints strapped to their backs. Ham, big c, evilcatfish and 2 others 5
Guest Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 thats a huge spot, but im surprised CA even allows a mercury black max on their waters. its gotta be the smoking king of the outboards. but yeah, we need to stock those feeder trout in the Ozark lakes.
dtrs5kprs Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Love those first thing in the morning. The motors, not the trout. Champ188 1

No, my vote is for the mini Neoshos, kind of like a starter smallmouth to break a kid into fishing for the first time. You'd hate to put a kid on a Gasconade smallmouth without proper training. Chief Grey Bear Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 At least the people that live in the natural range of the Neosho and enjoy fishing for them are not crying and whining every day about giggers, meat hunters, spots, regulations, moon phases, too much sunshine, too much rain, the MDC,too many boats, natural bait fisherman, the list never ends. Nope, we enjoy what we have. We are not trying to change the way others enjoy the resource for our own personal gratification. We are not trying to change the regulations to artificially enhance nature. We enjoy the challenge of catching a large fish. We don't condone turning the state into a giant smallmouth park. Its not in our nature to go against nature. Champ188 Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 I'm with Chief ... spots are special creatures. My favorite among the three main bass types in Table Rock. Chief Grey Bear and cbass12 2

Just keep doing what your doing, we all just giggle and know you're an idiot. MOsmallies, Greasy B, fishinwrench and 1 other 4 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
