Man I thought I was way overboard.  Thanks fellas...ammo for the next rod/reel negotiation with mamma.  You boys know how to make a guy look good!

Well you got me to thinking how many I carry in the boat so I went and laid them out and took a picture. I do have one more NRX that I just bought that is not in the picture as I still need to put a reel on it.  Then the wife wants to bring along around 10 of her own. I have another 10 or so rods that I use as pond rods that never get in the bass boat.

All rods pictured are G-Loomis............

I have never even considered that anyone on the entire planet would have 22 G LOOMIS rods, not even a sponsored pro . . . I have ”1“ . . . and it's an entry-level G Loomis fly rod . . . oh well, I need to take a long walk to "PROCESS" all of these unexpected REVELATIONS that I'm reading . . . I think there is a strong need out there for a FISHERMAN'S VERSION OF "AA"?

If I owned a 21ft RANGER, my dilemma would be solved . . . I would only be able to afford 1 rod . . . it would be 4ft long and have CHARLIE BROWN characters all over it?

Well it's an old Ranger. Just looked at some at the KC show, and let me guarantee it's going to stay the same old Ranger.

Plenty of room in that Charger. You go buy her another 20.

There is 22 in the pic but have another one I just bought that is going in the boat; so will have 23. Still have aways to go to catch dtrs5kprs; unless you count whatever rods the wife drags along

Have a couple old IMX's that I just use when pond fishing.  Wife has 10 or so of her own as well. Took some time to get them all. No way we could have got them all at once.

If there was an 'AA' for fishing stuff I admit that I should go!

You need to tell Michele there is plenty of room; but don't tell her she needs more rods!!  She keeps saying I don't give her enough room in the boat and she needs her own boat.

I thought one compartment in back deck and whatever rods she can fit beside passenger seat is plenty of room!  For some reason she always drags along a bag full of tackle too. :D

Old Plug, you might consider trying one of the new high modulus rods. Whatever your favorite technique is, worming if I remember right- try a Falcon Cara or Loomis IMX or better, or one of the high end lews rods, with a modern low profile, light weight bait caster. It would be expensive, but you might find it worth it. The light weight and casting efficiency may prolong your time on the water, and your recovery the next day. My business partner's 74 year old dad has invested in a few choice high end combos, just because he found he could fish more hours without pain when he picked up some of our gear. It's a gross amount of money to spend on fishing, but if it doubles time in the water doing what you love without pain, it's a wise investment.

OBVIOUSLY, if an "AA" equivalent did exist for fishermen who are addicted to "OVER-EQUIPPING" for their sport, the "AA" would stand for "ANGLERS ANONYMOUS" . . . now all we need is a cartoon CARICATURE (definition: a picture or description ludicrously exaggerating the peculiarities or defects of persons or things) and we can set a time and place for the FIRST MEETING OF "ANGLERS ANONYMOUS" . . . what do you think??? . . .

Maybe we could have a AA chat night here like the bass chat night. :secret-laugh:
