I find it funny nobody is talking about anyone else but Bernie or Trump. In all actuality Hillary has the fattest resume of them all. If you look at the candidates as work history instead of personalities the Dems own this election. The only real guy for the GOP with a long job history in government is Jeb and he is where? Trump has turned the GOP into a freaking circus and the Dems are capitalizing with the kinder more polite approach. You do get more flies with honey. yeah Hillary's work record with the federal Government is just exemplary......hahahahahahahaha.......the choices suck at this point but, Bernie and Hildawg are an fing joke. Rand Paul is the only candidate on either side who has always stuck his guns and has a clean voting record.......Cruz is second followed by Rubio on clean voting records........the rest are a complete joke no doubt about it.......especially the old dude socialist clown Bernie. fishinwrench Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Does Ted Cruz remind anyone else of Jason (jdoc) or is it just me?

Cruz is also second followed by Rubio in the number of Senate votes he's missed- I dunno that I'd tap the folks least likely to show up as the next leader of the free world. We're talking about the Ted Cruz that read Green Eggs & Ham on the senate floor without understanding the moral of the story, right? The guy who shut down the government? The guy who doesn't show up to work 20% of the time? He has a good work record with the federal government? If you're disqualifying Bernie because he didn't accomplish anything in the Senate, the last thing in the universe you should be doing is supporting Cruz or Rubio. Fiscal responsibility is important- it's one of the reasons I can't wrap my mind around republicans floating a slate of candidates who can't pass budgets. Cruz particularly- he'll vote to withhold emergency funds from Hurricane Sandy victims, and he'll make sure he still gets a paycheck even if Congress doesn't do its job (pass a budget). But rare is the day Ted Cruz votes to fund the position he's running for, among other things. Rubio's done a little more- when he bothers showing up, and Rand Paul has the audacity to vote for budget bills and show up to work. If you're passionate about fiscal responsibility, demonstrate some fiscal responsibility. If you're gonna blast welfare queens for not showing up to work, show up to work. Do what you do, not what you say. Cruz and Rubio are symptoms of a dysfunctional government, not a solution. Chief Grey Bear 1

mjk86 Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 1.) Income inequality 2.) Energy 3.) Education..or lack there of 4.) Climate Change/Environmental....notice how 1,2, 3, and 4 are all tied together? 5.) Some nonsense about ISIS/gays/guns/jesus....blah blah blah Who cares? I support Bernie cuz he is the closest thing to a decent human being in that crap heap. He is by far the most intelligent, and understands the major problems facing the united states. Unfortunately....presidential voting is purely ideological, as congress is so deadlocked that any meaningful legislature will be DOA. There will never be a huge progressive program like New Deal type legislation...it just is simply impossible with the way congress is structured. Your local legislators have much more of an effect on your life than the president, but nobody could name any of their local alderman. Business as usual...nothing to see here....the rich get richer...the rest of us go to church.
