anyone who is thinking of voting for Bernie needs to do some research into past Socialist society's.  It never has worked.  For simple purposes. let's say you have five fishing rods and reels.  Your 4 neighbors have none.  Let's make it equal, according to socialism.  You have to give each of your neighbors a combo to make you all equal.  Think about this if you are a Bernie, or even Hillary, supporter.

Hmmm,  well if you are a poor Have Not then it might sound pretty good.  So doctors and lawyers make less, and Outboard mechanics make more.  I like that idea.

Who's job would it be to determine who has how much of what ?

Ahhh but Wrench I assume you pay some of yours so you need to share with those who pay none of their bills. Oh yea we do that already since we pay taxes.

I have seen meat bought with the cards that made me drool and then get into a better vehicle than I drove at the time.  I suppose having having the food stamps let them make the car payment. Yes I do think some need the help too,

Bernie Sanders isn't advocating taking the fishing poles you've purchased and give them away to your neighbors.  He's suggesting we use government to make sure everyone has access to fishing poles, if they want them.

There's a very similar ideology that suggests Cruz or Trump or Rubio give Jerry five rods and crosses his finger, hoping Jerry's a good enough guy to keep one and hand four out to his less fortunate buddies.  Now you may be thinking "That's socialism!" because the outcome's identical to what Bernie's proposing and Bernie's a socialist.  But you're wrong- it's trickle-down economics, and it's the centerpiece of conservative domestic policy.  Both candidates' objective is to use the government to put more money in your pocket- whether it's through a higher minimum wage (Sanders) or through tax breaks to the wealthy (R's generally).  The problem I have with the latter approach is it's asking folks who have pinned their entire professional career on not throwing money out the window to suddenly have a change of heart.  I mean, aside from the fact that we keep trying it and the income gap keeps growing.  But the point is- while the nuts and bolts of the two approaches are a little different, the general principle and the outcome- using government policy to redistribute wealth- is identical.  If that's your definition of socialism, dang near every Republican for the past 40 years has been a socialist and you guys haven't been terribly upset by it.
