I know that doesn't stop it from happening, but it also shows that they want contestants to respect the laws and if be punished they don't. You guys don't actually think that illegal gigging is going on at a gigging tourney do you???? seriously a person who gigs bass at a gigging tourney is about as dumb as the MDC being there at the event to potentially bust someone for gigging game fish. Illegal gigging is done from private boat ramps far away from any public ramp or lazy agent. Mr. An-Cap 1

Jerry: I'm not sure how many but I know there is one on Current River that offers gigging trips as part of his services. I don't know him personally or how much of his booking are gigging trips. But I do know that he is well thought of in that part of the country.

Killing them with gigs, arrows, electricity, and dynamite is not. The point of conflict is that a blind eye is being turned, and guys like you and Chief don't seem to mind. Others do. And here I always thought you were smarter than that. It's a well-known fact that killing bass with a line and reel can also be illegal. Since everyone is turning a blind eye except for you guys, what have you done? But as long as the STL7 can continue to come to this forum and cry and complain about it, we can all rest knowing that something is being done. And that you guys are at the forefront of conservation! I guess I'm not willing to pretend a bass never takes a hook deeply, never gets one caught in the gills or in the eyes, or never, ever, takes a bounce of an aluminum boat or the carpet or a gravel bar. Accidents happen, and we shouldn't hold others to a different standard than we hold ourselves.
Flysmallie Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 PETA claims that 43% of all released fish die within 6 days. What does that mean? It means PETA is stupid. Hell he couldn't even win the hunger games without a girls help. jpb2187, Mitch f and Seth 3

Interesting, because the tagging study I've seen from the MDC stated that around 40-50% of the fish that were released in the study got turned back in for cash. I guess shocking a fish and sticking a barb in its back isn't as bad as hooking him. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
