I just keep an eye on the ones under $10 (a piece) once the price goes over $10 I delete it from my watch list. I always have them repainted so the color and condition doesn't really matter to me. The key to me is to figure out how much you are willing to spend on a bait. And don't stray from that... Just keep an eye out year round and you can stock up for your price. I'm always looking for the next deal! Now don't go buying all my warts <$10!

I have a few old warts in chrome variations, and guess what, I catch fish on them........... Champ188 1

I throw warts as craw imitations... If I want to imitate a shad I have other crankbaits I throw. But maybe I'm missing out! abkeenan 1

Nothing wrong with what you have...I still throw the new version of V209 and do well. But just look at the glaring difference. This isn't the only color scheme to have been horribly replicated by Rapala either, there are MANY. Sorry for the long winded response just thought I would clarify why I posted what I did. I picked up one of the red craw Rock Crawlers today and it's pretty much a dead ringer for the old V209 color. My only regret is not buying this color sooner. MOsmallies 1

New warts will have the STORM logo marked on the bottom of the lip. The old "pre rapala" models will only have "wiggle wart" stamped on the bottom of the lip. I don't have to look at them after he said 2000ish. I got these long before that Pete
Members BuckMaxx Posted February 10, 2016 Members Posted February 10, 2016 Between us an the fence post... The fish don't care if half the paints gone;)
Sore Thumbs Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 You gotta watch the wording on those ads. They will try to deceive. Must say Pre Rapala and I must see wiggle wart under the bill or I am out. mixermarkb, dtrs5kprs and Champ188 3
176champion Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 I got my warts today and it says original series and has storm stamped in ink on the underside of the bill and the rear treble hook is hooked in the bottom not in the back....the v209 is dull in color not shinny like the ones you posted almost looks like they didnt put the clear coat on it. I'll post some pictures up later.... I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
