Bass fished Taneycomo today.

With the extra boats on Table Rock, and me not fishing the BIG BASS, I thought I would try something different and stay out of the way of the tournament guys/gals today.

I went to Taneycomo to Bass fish today. I had 3 bites and caught 2 keepers. 1 smallmouth that went 3.7lbs and a Largemouth that went 2.13lbs. 

Mr. Busy Beaver was out and about along with 2 Bald Eagles.  

Fishing was great, catching was slow. Launched at Rockaway Beach at 6:50 and loaded at 12:30.

I always find these bass reports for tany really interesting.  I've fished it a few times for bass with less than stellar results.  Plenty of people will tell you there are big ones lurking though.

The biggest bass I landed came from Taneycomo.  9.3lbs in 2014.

There's some big fish swimming in Taney. My personal best came out of bull creek in April 1997. 9.4 on the scale at the gas station in town.

 We fished it once last year with not even a bite. We have a tourney there in August,, so I'm planning on fishing it at least 3 times a month until then.
