Well I went over to HLS yesterday, but for some reason, they were out of stock of split rings and trebles.  Somebody cleaned out their supply.

I guess I'm a little more OCD about these things than some. I have a 3600 loaded with hooks, split rings, oval rings, and snaps.

Now that's a day you dream of all year. What do you think contributed to that "blitz"? Was it just location, weather conditions, baitfish? I'm wondering if it was a pattern that could've been duplicated elsewhere on the lake or was it just a once and done deal at that particular spot for that particular time frame only. I'm thinking the latter. It's a rare occasion to see topwater action well into noon on the best days hence my questions.

Me too, Ham. Except my "3600" is a gallon Ziplock bag. I just put all the hooks in there in the packages they came in and I have a big Rx bottle full of rings. Works for me.

Heard there was a decent bite Monday, then it shut down hard Tuesday. Temp dropped, shad moved. If they didn't do much eating for a day, it makes sense they made up for it.

Don't let a fat kid eat for a day, then take him to the Hunan Buffet and watch the carnage.
