Better have pretty good junk to have one of those boys come and retrieve it fer ya. I'm guessing $500.00 at the lowest. We had some trees cleared a few years ago under our dock at Shell Knob. They worked 5 hours and the bill was $1,800.00 You might call the dive shop at one of the marinas and see if you could just sweet talk someone in the hunting your Easter Egg.
Members smallmouths fight Posted May 24, 2016 Author Members Posted May 24, 2016 i got my rod and reel back around 300 bucks, after looking on line here i got a very good price 75 bucks it was 5 miles past shell knob bridge rps, mixermarkb, motoman and 4 others 7
abkeenan Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I'm with bass blind on this one. Water is like 70 degrees which is cool but depending on the value of the setup I am stripping down and diving in at just 10 feet. I'm not proud. Hammer time and Ham 2
chi0082 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I had a wiper take one of my setups before while I had it laying on a rock on the shore. I caught it back on the very next cast with my other rod. When it happened I had thought I caught another fish, but reeled in the rod instead. I felt something tugging on the end of the line and kept tension on the line and happened to untangle the birds nest between the two lines by cutting line with my teeth one rod in each hand. After cutting as much line as I could with my teeth to undo the birds nest I was able to drop the other rod to the ground and reel in the old rod that still had the wiper attached and actually landed it without losing it. Things like that happen only once every black president. shark bait and magicwormman 2
dan hufferd Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I caught the upper part of a 2 piece rod with a spoon once. 10 FOW I would have went in after it. It is probably in 20 fow now. I hope you get it back.
