29 June Upper End Report

I did not go out until 7:00 this morning. I had a couple of items to do for the wife first.

Water temp was 82 when I left the marina and 84 when I came back at 1:00 PM. Visibility was 3 to 4 feet.

Saw Quillback while out. I always enjoy meeting people on the lake.

Used a crawler harness exclusively. Found fish where flats or humps dropped from 20 to 25 feet down into a channel.

The first walleye was 21". The second was a tail pinch legal. The third weighed 6 pounds on my boga grip.

Been awhile since we have had a Walter report from you RPS. Nice job on the toothy ones.

I would like to give trolling for walleyes a shot down here around the dam as some neighbors have sworn there are some good ones trolling around the islands from Pt 2 to the 86 Bridge. I've never done it but when the bass turn off mid-day and the lake lice are out might be a good time to give it a shot.

A friend who has since passed, Tablerock on this forum, lived in the  Lampe/Blue Eye megalopolis. He swore by the mid lake and lower lake.
