This whole lake is crazy with big boats anymore, 31 mm area is not as bad as the gravois to glaize area is, but bad enough.

thanks for the input. really want to stay close to the kids and grands, but not sure i can put up with all that stuff. would be ok if it was just on the weekends, but........

15 miles up the Niangua and it was busy today. had a whole flock of cigar boats and a few 30' plus cabin cruisers b4 noon.

I check into another site/forum occupied by the yacht/powerboat crowd and even THEY complain about the rough water conditions and overcrowding.   The folks inside coves are complaining because people in oversized boats are going in circles pulling tubes and tearing up their docks. The WP has started pulling over big boats and asking them not to "plow" any more than necessary.   People riding in 26-30' boats get knocked out of their seats and injured every day.  

Finally it has gotten bad enough that EVERYONE realizes that it is rediculis, so maybe in another 5-10 years something will be done to settle the seas a bit.  

Tri-toon sales were up several years ago, but even they can't handle the "normal" everyday water here now.

They should have put some kind of a limit on the size of boats that could be operated & maybe how much land could be commercialized on that lake years ago maybe, but who would have known that it would come to this I guess. I'd say they sure have there hands full down there

Like Wrench I have been around LOZ for many years and It keeps getting busier.  Not to be a condo hater, but there is a direct correlation there when you can put 100 boats on the lake in a real estate space that would only support a handful of single family homes and watercraft.  I can't believe some of the mountains and cliffs that have been developed and that people gladly negotiate to get to their condo docks.  Mind boggling and absolutely not my cup of tea.

What blows my mind is that so many people seem to have so much free time these days.  Does nobody have to work anymore?  

You have all these people that are obviously millionaires, yet they never have to work.  Retired at 35 !   

I guess I'm jealous.
