I did get out yesterday with my buddy Jeb.  It was slow, we tried some different types of banks, chunk rock, bluffs, back in coves, and we didn't get much doing that.  The fish we caught, we were able to get out on flats near the channel in 30 FOW on drop shots and c-rigs.  We caught 15, all spots except for one 2 lb. LM.  Of course it is always good to get out fishing, and the temps have cooled down a bit, not as many wake boats out there with school starting up, we just need to move the calendar forward a month or two and we'll get some good fishing going again.

My momma used to call that "wishing your life away".  But I'm with ya - tired of dry and hot.  Although down y'all's way ain't exactly been all that dry.  I'm ready to move on to the remaining two of the four livable months that we get per year around here.  April/May and September/October.  Of course you can adjust that up or back a couple of weeks depending on the year but either way four months is about it.

Now, keep in mind that twenty or so years ago I thought that there were a lot more "livable" months in the year than I do now.  I don't ask for much other than perfect conditions every day, all the time!

Well, that and more OA to read during the dog days!

Waited two days - I opted for a thing called monovision to avoid glasses - one eye for long distance, the other for reading - it worked well - I do use glasses for night driving some time.  You will be glad you did this.

Did Champ188 take everyone golfing or what?

Not today he didn't.  We left Arkansas at 5:30 this morning for TR.  Finally got tired of the wakers, tubers and jet skis.  We're on our way home.  Champ188 will post our report later.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.
