Thanks to OA, we (fisherman who are dock owners) have a forum to bring this up. Hoping the same fisherman who own docks and/or buoy at their dock will continue to send me a private message so we can organize a group. We are hoping an attorney (who is a dock and buoy owner) down in the Aunts Creek area will be willing to assist us in this matter. The argument of "well if that's what law enforcement says we we'll do... then that's what we we'll do" doesn't work for me (this coming from a law enforcement officer). This law hasn't been changed, YET. Your suggestion is right in line as we do pay taxes and as dock owners pay for access across COE (public) property to have electricity to our docks and to pay (tax) for a permit for a dock and with that, pay for electrical inspections. We love our dock and thoroughly enjoy having it, so we pay the fees (taxes) to have said dock. We just hate to see them destroyed by folks who could care less about what happens to them and if a buoy assists in protecting a few docks........ Please, continue sending your Private Messages for suggestions and to get involved. Thanks. Well I do not live down there or own a dock but will sign any petition or do anything to help your cause. Thanks
tapout Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 To be fair to other recreational lake users, and to be specific, I happened to be at the Kimberling Marina earlier this year when I overheard the dockhands complaining about all of the BASS boats that were ignoring the no wake bouys. I was doubtful. I stopped and watched for bit. To my disappointment, as a fisherman, they were 100% correct. I watched 2 fully wrapped bass boats run 2/3 or the way back to the gas pumps before slowing to a well above idle speed that was still too fast. Not sure where they were going. They went right on past the marina toward the back of the cove. Probably out of state tournament guys. It doesn't really matter, to the people watching, they saw, "bass boats" which includes all of us. No, bass boats don't put out a ridiculous sized wake (neither do pwc's, which can be supper annoying regardless of wake size), but our perspective as fisherman is biased because that is what we enjoy. Poor boat operators run through every facet and style of vessel. For every yacht or wake board boat that drives poorly, I'm confident their are other owners of similar boats that are embarrassed and irritated by their behavior. dtrs5kprs 1 I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar

Tapout, you want to know where it's coming from? Watch MLF, Bassmaster or any other tournament TV show. The pros' "idle speed" is in the the 10 mph range. They're making as much or more wake than they do on plane. To them, seems "idle" means "anything off plane." Donna and I call it "Elite Series idle speed." tapout, Flysmallie, vernon and 1 other 4
tapout Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Light bulb just went off! Remove all docks = Problem solved! (sarcastic tone intended) I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar
Browning Guy Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Funny. 1 hour ago, tapout said: Light bulb just went off! Remove all docks = Problem solved! (sarcastic tone intended) Funny. I hope not.... we have way too much fun catching fish under the dock with the kids. Nothing better than watching a five year old little girl catching bluegill and teaching the eleven year old to use a baitcaster and pitch a jig. We spend a lot of time on the dock, fishing, swimming and just hanging out as a family. Guess that's why keeping the ocean going vessels and ridiculous wake boats 100' away is so important to many dock owners. Bass boats are not immune, but for the most part, much more respectful. When my five year old was knocked off her feet from a wave this summer and hurt her wrist, I just saw red. We just recently (two weeks ago) were able to get a new buoy back in after the last was pulled down stream from flooding. Having it back has made a huge difference in keeping boats off the dock, yet the waterpatrol seems heckbent on taking them.

The wake boats and ski doos actually use those buoys as a slalom course. It is unbelievable to watch some of these people come into that cove! The damage to the docks, cables, lifts and boats is never ending... That little stretch coming into Mill Creek should be designated as a "Bottleneck" according to the water patrol guidelines. I bet your paying twice at least for what it cost me to maintain my dock and sea wall every year. I suppose a lot of these regulation have to do with maintaining the lake in prestige condition. That will not be possible over time same as LOZ. Your all blaming the Corp and the goverment. One individual said in so many word that all the employees were dunces. When you say goverment just remember there are three independent branches executive legislative and judisal. As far as I am concerned the lesilative branch is where most of the garbage on the pile comes from. A lot of it comes in the form of bills and the admenments to them. Also a lot of trash come in the form of what is called a Omnibus Reconcillation Act this is when the take all the stuff they newer acted on during the year and throw it together as one bill and pas it into law. Now since most members of congress have something of interest to the, in there you can bet it will pass. I have personnally seen a few of these. They are thousands of pages long and will dwarf most telephone books. I do not believe in them and regard them as dangerous to me as a citizen. So really the dunces are in congress. Everybody else down the line in follows the law in goverment that us dunces sent the dunces to congress to make vernon 1

Old plug Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 The whole point is ,and believe me I have seen this. All laws are made by congress many of witch are made buy control outside of congress by outside influancep. Each member of congress thrives on money for their individual war chest. Also elaborate vactions and other types of filth handed to them in private by lobbyist. Some lobbyist are family members of setting legislator (wow just how close can you get to to all his cronies) such as Senator Blunt who has most of his family hired out a lobbyist. So you see the Department , agency or whatever has no power to just do as they please. Should they try they would shortly find themselves in a battle royal with the lesilative branch. Only time you might have a law broadened is if the legislative branch leaves the law passed is not unspecific enough. In that case they are passing the buck. LIke saying " you figure out how to apply this we do not want to get involved" But God help the agency for trying to apply what they buck passed if they are challenged. . vernon 1
Nitroman Posted August 30, 2016 Posted August 30, 2016 Sorry, whoever told you " ALL LAWS ARE MADE BY CONGRESS " lied to you. The point is these clowns care more about slowing down the building of & placement of boat-docks so Table Rock does not become Lake of the Ozarks " VERSION #2 " !!!!!!! BUT don't worry I have watched them attempt & fail & we are moving closer every day. In a few years Lake Of The Ozarks VERSION II will be 120 south of you guys, only difference, less boat-docks.
