Believe it or not, you were close to the town of Tightwad, MO. I've wanted to deposit money in their bank just so I could say I have an account in the bank of Tightwad!?

Seriously though, our National debt is a force to be reckoned with, and someday we will pay the piper. Maybe not this year,  but soon. It won't be for the faint of heart. Some turbulence coming I'm afraid.

Both of my trucks are 1999's and my boats are '89, '91, and 2001.  Everywhere I go I have the oldest trucks/boats in sight.  I guess if I could only have one of each they MIGHT be a few years newer bit definitely not NEW.

If the economy is as bad as everyone let's on then why am I the only one with old stuff ?

People are making it just fine it seems to me, and most of those folks are even paying insane health insurance premiums.   Brick and mortar "stores" in small towns are not the way to make a very good living, and that's why so many are sitting empty.

My Pickup is a '95 my Boat is from the '60's. Not saying I'm not looking at replacing both but no way I can afford to. Dogs are going to be a major expense next, $200 first part of the month.

But we adjust to what we have coming in.

My truck is a 2000 and my boat is an 85 it's kind of crazy what they want for a new truck or a new boat so when I see somebody driving a brand-new boat and a brand new truck I wonder how the hell they can afford that. A lot of people are just living on credit and if they lost their job tomorrow they would lose everything. I have to agree that eventually the national debt is going to become a problem if not in my lifetime my children's lifetime

Plenty of money to be made right now. You will never make real money collecting a wage from someone else, but the banks are lending and there is money to be made if you are willing to take some risk.

That's my problem, no balls.

While fishing in the BBB at the lake I am always amazed at all the really nice new looking bass boats you see. And then you see the nice trucks that go with them. I see these and think there sure must be a lot of guys making a whole lot of money in this world. And they are young and old.

And I am fishing out of my aluminum Blazer which is a jet that I had built with the modified V to handle the lake and the river because there was no way I was buying two boats. (And it does really well too).

But funny thing is you watch some of these guys and they are casting into docks and trees and they are backlashed half the time and you wonder if they ever actually fish out of these brand new boats.

Well back when I was living in my shack with no electric or running water. I asked a girl if she wanted to go with me to my Moms. She did, get there she was all eyes looking at all the nice stuff. I just laughed told her it was all on paper.

Me I have Bad Credit because I've never borrowed any money.

My truck is a 99, but my boat is a 14. You can see where my priorities are. Hopefully I can stick to my guns and pay it off by spring. It has taken me around 6 years and a couple good boat deals to work my way in to this rig though. It also helps that I don't really blow money on anything else.
