River Smorgasbord

I had an hour to kill before I picked up my daughter from the aftercare at school....so I saw the approaching  cold front and figured I'd hit the river for a quick deal.

As it turned out I caught 15 White bass, 1 Little Hybrid,  2 Spotted Bass, 1 Largemouth and 1 Walleye all on topwater

At this point I may be force feeding some fish topwater but, as I have said before I just can't  quit topwater and have extreme confidence in it, which is also an important  factor to my success  with topwater. Now I must say I have never caught a Walleye on topwater  before so that was very cool for me and a decent little Wally at just under 22 inches. Not that bad for an hour of fishing  from the bank.

Scott, they have to convince me they will not eat topwater.  It worked on Monday, will see if it works tomorrow.  Wish I could have went out today but other duties called.  As your picture shows they will try to eat lures almost as big as they are, and I have a large one tied on.  It may not stay on but I have not throw it before so I have to try.

I have room for 3 , just time constraints as well.   Nice fish Scott.   You are the master of top water bite .

That's a nice hour of fishing. Love the Walter on topwater. Never pulled that one off myself but I've caught a few real shallow on spinnerbaits.

That Vixen is one darn fine bait.

Agreed.....I love the first run version a whole lot
