Kiddo's first trout on the fly rod

I'm a super proud dad this morning.

Took my 11yr old down to the rebar hole. She's never used a fly rod so I tried to give her the basics.   Did some practice casting and then moved up into the shallow riffles.  We watched some fish moving upstream and I had her begin trying to sight cast to them.  After a few tries she finally hooked up!  

She only caught one more before the horn blew, but it was a bit bigger and have her a good fight.  

I took her up to the outlets and let her get a few more before we had to go back up.

Guess I'm buying her a fly rod now
