Or should it be green faced?

Been a pretty good fall lettuce crop. So yesterday the Mrs. was picking a mess and we noticed a thief had been there. I will share but would like to be asked first. :) .  I knew who the culprit was. Put up a camera and caught the infiltrator green faced. No not the Mrs. This thief had cloven hooves and a black nose,

Covered up the far bed this afternoon. Will be sleeping on the front porch tonight. Think I will wake up to the thief crunching greens in the closer uncovered bed?  Guess I should go out and shoot a deer but having too much fun chasing ducks and geese :).

If you plant it, they will come. :D

Looks like a fine garden. Mine is fallow this fall.

Have any of you ever tried sprinklers. Not just your regular type but Like the one in the picture. I have a Hosta bed overall covers about 75 x10. These sprinklers rotate very fast hit hard and make more noise than your normal types. Believe me Deer will come a long ways for Hosta plants. They hate these sprinklers. I have not had a plant damaged behind the protection of the two I have for 2 years. I would rhink if your garden is fairly compact these would work fine. My hosta bed sit in front of a 7 ft  high stone wall.I have two because the sensing sye does not cover 360 degrees. These sprinklers will detect and sprinkle out to 60 ft.

Old Plug yes if I was having a bad problem I would do the sprinklers. The deer usually don't mess withe the beds much. A little sharing of the greens is not hurting us right now. Growing faster than we can eat it. I know the one bed will be covered this weekend with freeze protecting covers. The taller plants in the one bed will be picked!

We rarely get a little when it comes to deer. We are semi rural out here and the buggers are about tame and have a very fruitful sex life. If they come in it might be as many as ten not 1 or 2. Then we have our share of 2 legged dears that love Bambi and regard me as a male villian. The worst one of these is the widow next door.
