J.M. Posted December 17, 2017 Posted December 17, 2017 If you are Ted Kennedy and you drown someone nothing happens and they keep electing you and you telling everyone how great he was. Accountable is not the same for everyone, call it what you like.
TRRANGER Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 What I think really sucks is the cop was getting paid for 2 years while they determined what everyone knew from the start, he screwed up and it was going to cost the state lots of money. Which it did, the complete situation sucks, the kids was probably belligerent, cocky and mouthy, the cop was probably the same, Training is not needed to know how to put on a lifejacket, you cannot fix stupid on either mans part. I cannot believe a lawyer was dumb enough to allow that to be said about the lifejackets. I also promise you had it been me, a poor guy with no really money the pay out would have been much less.
Basfis Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 Just to clarify, per the article “Piercy had been on unpaid administrative leave since he was criminally charged in December 2015.” whole thing was terrible, plenty of arrogance and disregard all around the situation. Sad that mutual respect has diminished as it has.
fishinwrench Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 The ironic thing is that the only person in that fiasco that did things right and proper was the VERY FIRST one to lose his job. Haris122 1
TRRANGER Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 My apologies, I misread article. 16 hours ago, fishinwrench said: The ironic thing is that the only person in that fiasco that did things right and proper was the VERY FIRST one to lose his job. I think he should be able to file wrongful termination lawsuit.

He wasn't even that wasted. Just 20 minutes before being pulled over he was ruling the volleyball court at Coconut's. If you are sober enough to win 3 volleyball games in a row then I'd say your coodination is ok to drive a boat.
TRRANGER Posted December 21, 2017 Posted December 21, 2017 Once again sorry for the assumption. I just have dealt with both these type of individuals and was making judgements based on a biased opinion and my past history. My bad.

This boy however just fell victim to an officer who was gung-ho on making a name for himself, and the ones above him attempted to cover that up. If it hadn't been for his dad having some money, and ONE good honorable officer then they would have easily pulled the wool over the public's eye like I'm sure they have done many times in the past.....and will in the future. awhuber 1
