Are you noticing craws in their mouth? Talked to a buddy of mine and he was catching them on shad colored WW but said he didn't see any evidence of them eating craws.

Doesn't anybody work anymore?  Now, don't get me wrong here - I certainly don't mean me but the rest of you guys need to get off that dang lake and get a job!

Vernon, I work on the lake at a youth camp, so I just go for a few hours in the morning or afternoon, now is a really slow time obviously the summer is crazy!!

 

none of the fish have regurgitated anything shad or craws.... 

the jerk bait bite has not been there for me, I'm really wanting to learn and succeed with it though

Long, somewhat precise casts, angles back to the boat and wood. Took me a while to gain confidence in the jerker as well but you will figure it out. Looks like you're a quick study on the cranks so just hang in there. When you do figure it out and get into a nice bunch hanging out in some tree tops doesn't get any better IMO. It's a big fish catcher.

This working business is killing me. It would be better if I wasn't spending 80% of my time sitting in a cubicle with NOTHING to do. I can handle the idea of not being on the lake when there's work to be done, but sitting here watching some good early winter fishing days slip by while I try to stay awake is not to my liking at all.
