Daryk Campbell Sr Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Sounds like a good deal to me. As long as the lands have something for everyone, I like them. I love to camp at state parks myself. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. (me) I am the master of my unspoken words, and the slave to those that should have remained unsaid. (unknown)
Gavin Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 Hope the don't go hog wild and make 3 more Echo Bluffs. Daryk Campbell Sr and Greasy B 2
Old plug Posted December 17, 2016 Posted December 17, 2016 I am not sure that is going to happen for sometime. I understand the state lesislatire is not overly receptive of it.

jdmidwest Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 There is another 1 million pedestrian bridge out for bid now at Eagle Bluff. They did not spend enough money on that one. I thought the lost the 11 pt property. I thought they gave it back. "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
timinmo Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 For all the complaints about Echo Bluff there are always some people that want that type of park. The fact that I don't doesn't mean it is a bad thing. DNR has to play for all the people not just the people on OA. If I never visit Echo Bluff but it is packed all the time they were successful. Norm M Posted December 18, 2016 Posted December 18, 2016 Better to hear the DNR is adding new parks than waiting to hear which ones are going to close. word is Illinois laid off 1/3 of the Conservation Police force . I'm happy for you guys , good that some states are at least trying to get it right . what a long strange trip it's been , put a dip in your hip, a glide in your stride and come on to the mother ship , the learning never ends
Brian Sloss Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 The 11 Point park land is bought, paid for and the state signs are up on Y hwy now. Just no announced plan yet JD www.elevenpointflyfishing.com www.elevenpointcottages.com (417)270-2497
jdmidwest Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 We were down there in Oct and no sign of anything. Cut through from Riverton and down into Ark to fish lower river for a change. Goofy place for a park. Since they don't seem to have money for the ones they have, where are the funds coming from for 3 more?
