Funny nobody mentioned a plastic worm. Worms and jigs and that incldes grub for me. Those by far have cught more bass than anything. The variations and ways to use them are about limitless.

my honorable mention goes to the plastic worm, but a short arm spinnerbait is way up the list. hopping a short arm down the ledges of a bluff can get your equipment a good work out and that goes year round.  some of those big gals spend there entire life on a bluff

Ned rig, and the 2nd choice would be tough.  I'd probably go with a worm for choice 2, but I like to throw top waters, and on the days the top water bite is on, it is hard to beat.

Champs would be a Spinnerbait and another Spinnerbait.

LOL, a spinnerbait and a shaky head finesse worm. I could bite it off short enough to pass for a Ned rig if I had to.

#1 - White or white and chartreuse 3/8 oz. Tandem willow spinnerbait

#2  -Black and blue 3/8 oz. jig WITH a 6" curly tail plastic worm trailer.  Swims as good as it bottom bounces/drags.

And I have no idea why I wouldn't put the Ned at the top of the list other than I guess I haven't been using it long enough - pretty much was new to me in the spring of 2015 but I've sure throwed the heck out of it since.
