Well if all of those cats came from where they said they did, then they had to pass right through my stomping grounds to get there.

I'm guessing that they are piling up there like white bass below a dam because they don't wanna swim across the Mississippi.

Now I am picturing vast herds of mountain lions just standing on the edge of the Mississippi looking confused. :)

I do know that black bears have been documented to swim across the Missouri. I always wondered what is going through said bear's mind. Must be some combination of overly energetic and anti-social to see a half-mIle wide expanse of deep muddy, fast moving water and say, "Yep, we're doing this."

Remember Wrench they are protected. When you get one fishing it is catch and release :).

I've seen that video before. Those guys have some guts to get that cat released.

I was down on the current below baptist a few years back and heard a mountain lion screeching up in the woods. It sounded like it wasn't that far away. I was by myself and I knew it was a lion from the distinct screeching call. I walked immediately back to the truck and kept my head on a 360. I never saw the cat but I knew it was around close and did. It take any chances.

Screech owl.
