I don't want jetskis to be banned, as heck, I ride ours from time to time. Kids, teens and young adults enjoy them. I do not own the lake and I would not want them banned. They don't bother me too much when fishing other than the occasional moron getting too close or cutting between the bank and myself. The only issue I have IS with the wake boats with the extra 500-1000lbs of ballast weight that cause damage to docks, property and bounce me around the boat when fishing. The big OCEAN rigs should also be banned from the lake in my opinion. Needs to be a boat size restriction on TR. The house boats are fine as they don't put out much wake with their flat hull design. The big cabin cruisers on the other hand put out major rollers at just about any speed and that is not cool. 96 CHAMP and vernon 2

It's about that time as winter is coming to an end (hopefully) pretty soon. vernon and Champ188 2
176champion Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I don't have no issues with the jet ski's...it's those wake boats and cabin cruisers pulling the tubers......i go out of the way to go around them when im running if they are sitting or moving but they seem to like to cut it close to me when im fishing or attempt to fish... last year i was up around point 15 and caught a couple and here comes one of them cruisers pulling a tuber and i figured he would just go by and turn around and leave going the other way, nope he had to do figure 8's and dounghnuts so i left and went towards cape fair by the end of the island..well 20 minutes later here he comes again and started doing figure 8's and running in circles again pulling his tubers about 50 yards away..he had water so churned up waves where coming over the bow of my boat...so i left and went home. My rant...lmao I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips

Browning Guy Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 $Long, $$McCaskill and $$$Blunt want to have more docks for Tablerock. Unfortunately, good people at the Corp see and understand what is happening to TR (Lake of the Ozarks south), but $Long, $$McCaskill and $$$Blunt have their own agenda. There are elections to be won and campaign money will be needed. When time permits, I will share some trail cam photos of wake board boats and tuna rigs coming within 60' to 70' of the dock. This despite having a large sign (Missouri Water Patrol's suggestion) placed on the front of the dock. Too many pix to post. The sign hasn't worked so far and it is nearly twice the size suggested by the Water Patrol. Where's Long and Blunt's legislation/bill on allowing more development and docks on Lake of the Ozarks south (Tablerock)? I lost track over the holidays. vernon 1
WeekendWarrior Posted February 1, 2017 Posted February 1, 2017 I like my wave runner, wish I had a depthfinder on it. I can get in and around the docks much easier scouting out spots to fish along with looking at bedding fish in the spring. It's much cheaper on gas that's for sure. You could definitely trick one out, I have seen them with running lights on some of them, that's scary. All we need is a drunk bas$&@? flying around at night on one. 96 CHAMP and vernon 2
jdmidwest Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 If they only made one for streams, sturdy enough to bounce off a few rocks like a jet boat, then I would own one. Have thought seriously many times about a Mokai, Kayak with a Jet Ski motor. bfishn 1 "Life has become immeasurably better since I have been forced to stop taking it seriously." — Hunter S. Thompson
Longball22 Posted February 2, 2017 Posted February 2, 2017 My vote goes to outlawing tubers. It appears that you have to take common sense/awareness of your surroundings and stow them under a seat, or neatly up your @$$, so you can give the person you're towing a good ride. Champ188 1
