Members riverhyker Posted February 28, 2017 Members Posted February 28, 2017 First let me give you congrats on that catch...yes I am jealous... but so happy for you. I raised all of my girls on the water and it is great to see more and more women on the water...I am sending this to my daughter in Belton, MO. She comes to fish with Dad, she loves the rivers, but I am trying to get her to use our lakes a little more....Maybe she will see what you've caught and realize the possibilities... Maybe...maybe not. Thank you. 2 hours ago, magicwormman said: Very nice fish! I love when a plan comes together. You just raised the bar for us all. I hear after that fish, you and Champ are 6 to 5 favorites to win the derby. I think we actually "won" it last year, but threw back the winning fish thinking someone would have a bigger one. Won't make that mistake again, I don't care what Champ says. lol Daryk Campbell Sr, magicwormman and dtrs5kprs 3 Donna Gilzow Bella Vista, Arkansas The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. --John Buchan, 1915

My daddy passed when I was only 27, but I still cherish the memories of fishing with him in the ol' green flat bottom on little Black Creek Lake in Texas. I know those are treasured times when your daughter joins you. magicwormman 1 Donna Gilzow Bella Vista, Arkansas The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. --John Buchan, 1915

I was so worried I'd lose her before I even saw what I had on, that I forgot to breathe, much less holler. Don't think I had air for a scream. She did not want to come up. Pretty upset a little while later when I had a major head shaker on a crank bait come unbuttoned. I REALLY wanted to see that one. Didn't feel like a drum. I think next time I'll just keep chanting in a monotone, "big one, big one, big one." hehehe Champ188, Macsimus and magicwormman 3 Donna Gilzow Bella Vista, Arkansas The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. --John Buchan, 1915
Sore Thumbs Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 Donna and Champ will be a tough duo when OaF tournament comes around. I don't really have a BFL that day. I'm just scared of these two sticks!? Donna G, magicwormman and Champ188 3
Sprint21fter Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 I knew the better fisherman would catch a monster! Good guiding Champ, way to finesse that fish to the boat Donna. magicwormman, Donna G and Champ188 3
